The town’s distinctive architecture makes even an ordinary stroll interesting. Give yourself time to wander the residential streets, notice the porches and architectural details, and enjoy the atmosphere that separates Cape May from other Jersey Shore towns.

Explore Washington Street Mall

A visit to Cape May almost always includes time at Washington Street Mall.

The pedestrian shopping district spans three blocks of Washington Street and includes dozens of shops, restaurants, cafes, and other businesses. Because it is closed to vehicle traffic, it is an easy place to stroll, browse, eat, and spend a relaxed afternoon.

It is particularly nice when you want a break from the beach but are not ready to head indoors for the day.

Visit the Cape May Lighthouse
